Born and raised in Orange County California, I came to the realization at a very young age that I was an individualist by nature, and was doing myself and the rest of the free world no justice by simply existing, and not experiencing what else life had to offer. My first major Challenge came at the age of 18 when I moved from California to New York and was forced to rebuild my life from the ground up, in a merciless new world where traditionally only the strong survived. After taking a bite out of the Big Apple, I transferred to The Pennsylvania State University where I pursued a Bachelors degree in economics, while simultaneously pursuing a Masters degree in partying (which is unfortunately not a field of study recognized by the university). After four years of burning the midnight oil, and armed with a college degree, I was ready to write the next chapter of my already thrilling epic. Little did I know he adventure I was about to embark on would prove to be the most tumultuous yet.
In May of 2005 I was cast on the 17th installment of the longest running, most well recognized reality television show in America The Real World. My off color sense of humor along with my charismatic and dynamic nature quickly gained me notoriety and permanently solidified my place in reality television immortality. After The Real World I continued the pursuit of my proverbial "white rabbit" curious to see how deep the rabbit hole would actually go. And 15 challenges, 12 countries, 6 victories, 5 continents later my journey continues. It is said the steel of a man is forged in the flames of adversity, and never before has there been a man in which this quote is more appropriately personified.
What makes me tick? How about having freedom from sin but sinning enough to have freewill. To love in a way that complements life, and not being content with mediocrity because of my unquenchable thirst for new experiences. Campfires under the stars, exploring my world, accepting everything that comes my way, and fighting for what I believe in, even if it means fighting against the status quo. The freedom to walk where I want, to talk as I want, and to believe what I want. Being accepted without judgment... Beer, Music, and Faith that there is an afterlife. And if there is a heaven to not walk up to the pearly gates in the prime of life. To be old, wrinkled, skidding in sideways on two feet with a martini in one hand and a cigarette in the other screaming "holy shit, what a ride!" Exquisite food, lavish surroundings, wild parties that start at sundown and don’t end till sunrise. Creation, the soul, the small of a woman's back, dancing in the moonlight, skinny dipping, more beer, more love, and more music to drown away the fear that it will one day come to an end. Life is good… As long as I accept my place in it... Oh and Bananas! Lots and lots of Bananas.
